Jelle van der Zwaard

My name is Jelle van der Zwaard, a hardworking and passionate game developer. In July 2017, I graduated as an Indie Game Developer from the NHTV in Breda. Alongside my study programme, I co-founded my own company, Sword GC. So far we have already released one game called Dinky Diver on Android. We are also very close to completing our next game, Basher Beatdown (PC)!

Studying Indie Game Development allowed me to work within a variety of disciplines. I specialized in programming and design. Due to this combination I am exceptional at making a game feel good and fun to play. I love game development, so in my spare time I like to watch GDC presentations or experiment within Unity.

Alien Shooter 24H Gamejam

Alien Shooter is the result of a small (non-official) gamejam I did with my brother. I took an asset pack my brother created and made this game within 24 hours of work. The main idea was to improve my skills as well as creating some form of promo material for the asset pack.

This is a collection of Unity Tools I developed during a school project (Takers) in the 3rd year of my education. The demo project contains a readme, demo scene and the following tools:

  • Bridge Creator - Places prefabs along a bezier curve. Can add physics (alpha) as well.
  • Prefab Painter - User can paint with prefabs. Video.
  • Rope Generator - Allows the user to generate a cylindrical mesh along a bezier curve. Video.

Off The Hook (School)

A Unity game created with a team of 8 first years students at NHTV. The game was created in 16 working days. The goal of the game is to survive as long as possible by eating smaller fish and evading hazards like Sharks.
